At times it happens that you do not want to ship the package for which you have already printed a label.
This can happen for several reasons:
- The customer canceled the order
- You were only doing a test shipment
Now, there is no point in spending money on such shipments and you should immediately cancel such shipments.
To cancel a shipment, all you have to do is:
- First search for the shipment in the list of shipments in ECS.
- You can search for a shipment by the recipient's name, date shipped, carrier used, or shipment tracking number.
- As you open a particular shipment, you can see More Options > Cancel Shipment secondary action item on the shipment.
- Click this button and the shipment cancelation will be initiated.
- If you cancel within the appropriate time and the shipment is not yet picked up, you are eligible to get a refund of the money spent on the shipping cost.
- Once a shipment is canceled you will see a cancelled chip next to the paid chip.
- You can also verify the amount refunded to your account balance on the billing screen.
